My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. false sets off the bat aren't always a good thing, I have American locks that open easier without getting a false set or getting it later. still opens in under a minute without looking for a false set.

  2. Bill i am your biggest fan,i have loads of locks that people have given me since i was put in a wheel chair by a drunk driver, but no matter how many times i watch you pick this lock,i cannot pick it,its my nemesis, you make it look so easy,3 weeks and still unpicked, and im using all your techniques, its the only un picked lock i have, more power to you and the great chris dangerfield

  3. Ok I have something to ask (and im glad i found a video of you trying to tackle this lock).a few weeks ago i found your channel and it inspired me to pick it up again (pun intended), and with a bit of help from the "lockpicking overkill" pdf, ive had some breakthroughs in understanding how to interpret the feedback properly inside the lock, however the only 3 real locks i have to practice with are all really old. but the one thats bothering me is this exact lock you have in this video (made in germany, all the same markings). Now from what i know of locks this should be the hardest of the 3 i have, but its the only one i can seem to pick…..that being said, im picking it exactly the same you are here, tension in the same direction, but when the cylinder turns (to about 3 o'clock, far past a false set i think) it just stops completely without releasing the shackle. I have no idea what im doing wrong, if its not a bother i could use some pointers on this lock. (Also i have noticed that i cannot seem to tension it counterclockwise at all, and im not sure if that is normal on this model lock). I do not have this key either D:
