(1012) Review: Top Popper

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Great video Bill. Wow, $50 for a piece of knurled metal !! I feel it can be made at home with a lil effort, piece of metal/bar, a drill, tap and set screw. Probably $3 in supplies.

  2. Love the top popper -would love one- if I don’t win how would I get one ?- love your work, very good teacher

  3. I have mixed opinion on this tool yes its quick enter but you have to spend time putting it back together and for the money I would try to make if my self don’t look that hard to make Thank’s Bill for all the video’s and help and info on all the tool’s

  4. I Don’t think it is a good idea showing this video in public, this might give the wrong peoples some ideas on how to break into other peoples house.

  5. I have had one for months, it’s # 4 on my order of attack when opening a house.
A must have for levers and F series
    love it

  6. I just got in to lock picking and I’m not very good at picking Quick sets I think this tile will save me a tun of time

  7. I knew the Kwikset as soon I seen it, but what you did was like on my mind, “W.T.F.” ! Now, I got to warn my neighborhood about the vulnerable the lock are.

  8. That could come in handy instead of standing in the cold fighting with some of those locks that dont want to cooperate.

  9. Eh, "getting in quick" doesn't quite seem worth it if you have to repin or change out the lock after. I'd probably only use this if I'm having a really bad day and it's taking longer than 5 minutes to pick for some reason. Really cool alternative to drilling out in a worst case scenario situation, though. Thanks for the video.

  10. Just ordered my first set of picks today (Sparrows Tuxedo kit) after speaking with a friend of mine who's quite keen on the hobby. Came across your channel earlier this evening, and there's some really great content. My only experience with 'picking' locks so far has been with the ass end of a tomahawk, so I'm looking forward to a more refined and gentle approach!

  11. I met the creator/owner at the trade show a while back. He's a really great guy.

The tool would be great for a stubborn or seized up kwikset in the field.

  12. I knew you could do that to a Schlage F series, but not a Kwikset! That's kind of cool. I usually just pick Kwiksets though. Thanks for the demonstration
