My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Great picks for a kid and great pickin’ for an ol’ man . . . ……lol, just kiddin’ Bill !

  2. Hey Bill, I was curious to know if you had done a video about the door and ignition lock cylinders on Commercial motor vehicles? I happen to know that they are very vulnerable to bumping and raking with keys of the same type but different cut patterns from the original lock. I'm curious as to find out if the engineers know this and are still using them or are they just clueless? I work as a Diesel Automotive Technician and sometimes we don't have immediate access to a key for bringing a vehicle into the shop. So we have used the raking and bumping techniques to get vehicles into the shop for repairs using keys that are a close enough fit to cause the pins to drop into the cylinder holes while using the entire key to put tension on the lock. These vehicles are base MSRP ~$250,000 with dealer bulk pricing and I found it odd that the key locks would be so easily defeated.

    1. I’m interested in the same thing – auto door and ignition picking. Bill, can you do a video on auto locks ?

  3. Is there a bill's video of how to put back together or repin a lock? I did that a few times and it took me a lot of time because I don't know what the hell am I doing.

  4. Cool video Bill but, credit to Darkwoodpicks too, on those awesome picks and the lock you featured 😁 Very nice handles and attention to detail 👍 Also, here's to Darkwoodpicks graduating high school 👏 and, sending you more picks / locks in future Bill?Well done mate! 😁

  5. DarkWoodPicks is a great guy and his custom picks look really amazing :D. There are some cool videos on his channel how he makes them :). Also some pretty nice pins inside this first challenge lock, very curious, what will be in the others ;). Very nice package and picking video Bill :).

  6. Nicely done to the both of them.
I'd think that it would have been substantially more difficult if the bible and/or core had some threading, under cuts, or counter milling. Those pins were amazing.
