(1076) Review Multipick’s Kronos “Master Key”

LockLab is Fan funded!  Help pay for stuff to review, break and talk trash about, and maybe even give away when we’re done.  Join the Tribe!

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Got mine today, lasted about 10 minutes and died.
Worked good when it worked. I’ve sent email and waiting for reply.
I got it in 5 days now it might be awhile before I get to use it.

  2. I’m a canadian locksmith with more than 30 years experience. Last september, I bought a Kronos directly from Multipick Germany since there was no distributor in Canada. Even though it seemed to be well built, mine quit working within 20 minutes of use. After I contacted Multipick, they told me I had to send it back to Germany to get it fixed. They said they would repay my shipping costs to cover for the trouble. Three months later I finally got it back but never got paid back as promised for my expenses . At last, I was able to try it and evaluate its performance.
I tried it with multiple mortise cylinders, KIKs and padlocks. To me, it compares to my regular pick guns (Ilco and Lockaid). All the locks I picked with the Kronos, I also picked them with my good old pick guns wich by the way, don’t require any batteries and perform better in the cold climate. My advice; save your money for something else.

  3. OK, so I took another look, and I seem to have it figured out. Today is Sunday (05/21), and that Kronos “Master-Key” pick-gun was already given away yesterday (Saturday 05/20) [ sad face =( ]. So, I seem to have gotten in at the beginning to enter the giveaway for “(1082) Review: MPXS-08 (& GIVEAWAY)” instead of the “(1076) Review Multipick’s Kronos “Master Key”. ” Also a great looking set of items for a giveaway.

  4. Great tool. I’d love to win this so please enter me to win it. There is no purple “Enter Me” button on this page, and after pressing the purple “Enter Me” button on the main page, it seems like (I’m unsure) it’s not specific to enter the giveaway for this item.

  5. I’d like enter the giveaway if this is the place to do so. Many thanks.

  6. Wow…….nice learning from the master. How do i “win” this awsome master key?

  7. You are the best. My skills are slowly improving. Thank-you so much. Please enter me in the drawing.

  8. That is the fastest electropick I’ve seen. I’d love to win one, thanks for offering a chance.

  9. Please enter me into your Kronos drawing.

Picked up the bug for lockpicking at Defcon last year and have had a joy with trying to “break into” my own locks.

    Also love your videos!

  10. Please enter me into your Kronos drawing. Love your videos. Learned alot from you over the years

  11. Please enter me in your Kronos drawing.

I look for bosnianbill on you tube videos because i know i will get actionable information. I am a subscriber and donator to fan funding.

  12. Hola Bosnianbill I Would Love to be in your list for winning this amazing tool, here in my country is very difficult to get this stuff… Thanks

  13. May 19, 2017 at 5:10 am

Please enter me to win the Kronos master key drawing. Thanks

  14. Please let me enter into the draw. Im still new at lockpicking. Owned a manual click lockpick gun n another beginners set. I wonder how much easier this would make the process. Anyways i just sub to ur channel after seeing it on yt recommendations

  15. This makes those locks you just can’t seem to get a easy pick now. I’m getting one for sure.

  16. I thought my little mechanical pick gun was the cats’s meow, but this Kronos unit is UNBELIEVABLE! In our business (locksmithing), time is money. When I have to re-key a handful of cylinders for a business, the Kronos Masterkey would be SO useful. My jaw is still dropping from watching Bill’s video. A few years back I tried (purchased) one of those battery powered units that looked like a boogered-up cordless drill and ended up sending it back. After watching the Kronos in action, if I were that manufacturer, I would find some other product line. Kronos ROCKS!

    1. I got this one yesterday. Just save the money your going to waste on a lesser pick gun and put it on this.

  17. Thank you for all the great advice you share. Been a self employed locksmith for 31 years. Recently my lock picking skills have been awful when I’m under pressure. When the customer walks away I have no problem with the lock, but when they stand there and watch, the sweat starts running. I’ve never owned an electric pick, but this would be a perfect addition for me to lift my confidence. Thanks again for your great videos. Stay legal Bill.

  18. This ia a engineers lockpick, like the details they have put into it, still learning to single pick locks, having all kinds of trouble getting the feel of things. This tool would be great to do a “Stuff You” and open a lock when you get frustrated.

  19. What a great tool. Now I am going to have to get one for my tool kit. ThanKS for the demo.

  20. This is one tool a locksmith can not do with out. This would be a very treasured addition to my tool kit. It is because of your YouTube channel that I became locksmith. Thank you Bill and please keep up the great work.

  21. I am a new picker, started about 3 months ago and just started to get pretty good, I would really love to have this because it honestly fascinated the hell out of me what technology can do

  22. I’m a new picker and never seen something work so well and fast. I watch all the time…. Big Fan… Love the show keep up the good work. Thanks

  23. Really unbelievable that it opens so fast. Like to win this amazing electro pick!!!

  24. Wow, Bill, that’s an amazing tool!
Haven’t never testing any electro picks before. I’ll be happy to win it.

  25. That’s look fantastic. You really want to give it away? I hope I’ll have some luck.

  26. Fantastic. Couldn’t believe that this tool is working so fast. Please give me a chance to win. Never had luck before

  27. I would love to win that, since i am really bad at lock picking i do still really like the feeling when i pick one, but how can i actually write myself in to win it?

  28. Great tool. Frightened my picking skills would suffer in the long run… but I’d get over it 🙂

  29. WOW ! that’s an awesome weapon in the lock pickers tool bag, nice.

  30. “Pick me pick me” is what all the locks are saying! That’s a lovely piece of equipment, and your demonstration gave it more than enough confidence.

  31. As a vapor and a flashlight nut, I should advise you anything that has an 18650 battery in it should have venting in the tube. Most lights or ecig mods that are water resistant to any standard will have blowouts which should the battery vent it would blow out a small rubber plug or something similar. Standard mods or lights have vent holes which allow the battery to vent. Without some way for gases to escape the tube. Overused or a damaged battery wrap basically turns this into a pipe bomb. Good review just a little safety FYI.

  32. That works much better than I would have imagined. I wouldn’t have guessed it would work on a Titalium or a Master 570. I had a 570 and it was pretty tough to pick.

I would think it would work a little better if the tensioner were built into the tool and designed to apply tension only after the driver pins were at their apogee. Applying constant tension makes it more likely a pin will seize.

Isn’t there a defeat for this sort of tool? Do the anti-bump techniques work against it?

  33. Is there locks that this won’t work on?? So temping but will it take the fun out of a spping?
