  3. Last night I pulled out my old lock that has had no key for years and opened it! After two days of watching videos, pliers, and paper clips I opened my first lock. Aside from the blisters on my fingers, I’m pretty happy i picked my first lock.

    1. This little Southord is probably the first serious kit anyone started with going back 20-30-40 years ago. With the internet restrictions on these have lightened up a lot. I’d still advise NOT having picks in your car or on your person, while out and about, unless you are actually on your way to legally open a lock for someone who will verify you are coming to to open a lock. The cops call these kits “burglary tools”, and you will wind up in municipal court, unless you have a damned good reason to be carrying them. I do a lot of vehicle lock out, stuff on sight, but I use wedges & pin rods. The alarm will go off, but the car’s owner is always there and their keys are locked inside the car. The picks stay at home.

  4. Very informative videos. Had an interest in lock picking for awhile. This would be ideal had I’m laid up for the next month or so after surgery. Bored is not the word

  5. Great video….and thank you for thinking about us newbees.
Inspiration to me….really enjoying this sport .

  6. Thanks for the awesome video. Do you send giveaways to Asian countries like Singapore?

  7. Love your videos I have learned so much from your site being self taught from you and I even made my own picks and they work great I just hope to save enough one day to get a nice set like the pros. Keep up the hard work you really inspire me and I bet others too.

  8. I love small mechanical work. After years of messing with old camera shutters, lockpicking would be a nice skillset to add. This kit would be a great start 🙂

    BTW, your videos are great.

  9. How do I sign up for the give away? I have just started learning, and have been picking a Masterlock No.3. This giveaway seems really ideal for setting a trajectory for my learning.

  10. I love your videos and you have the best hobbies in my opinion and do what you like to do

  11. love the video started watching you vids a year a go and starting picking 1 month this would be perfect

  12. Been watching your YouTube channel. Didn’t think I was interested in lock picking. You have proven me wrong. I especially liked the videos on the challenge locks you received from the German craftsmen (J&K?). I just saw the beginner’s set giveaway and thought I would throw my hat in the ring. It would be interesting to see how talented I am at lock picking.

  13. Love the look of the set, it’d definitely keep me busy over the coming months! I just wanted to say, while I can, that there’s something almost Bob Ross-like about the way you speak… Very relaxing and easy to both listen to and watch. Thanks for the quality content!

  14. Yeah, the chances of me or the next guy winning one of these giveaways is slim, but I’ll be damned if I stop trying. Almost any of these giveaways are great for beginners and adepts alike and hopefully the people who are able to win one of these sets can learn how to use these. (I bet it’s harder than this guy makes it look.)

  15. I started watching your videos about a week ago and it has really piqued my interest in picking up this hobby but I have yet to actually get started. Winning this would put me well on my way.

  16. I would love to get into locksmithing I’ve been trying to get into the trade but I have never had the chance to. If I could win this giveaway I will spend all my time getting better to get into the trade.

  17. Hi, just started watching your YouTube videos and would love to get into lock picking
This giveaway is made for me ,here’s hoping

  18. Because of your videos I got into lockpicking. I bought one of my firend’s chinese picks and made my own tensioning tool from copper wire and tape. After a month or so I finally found a lock I could get my pick into (EU-Locks) and tension it. After making my own security pins and repinning this one lock every 2 days I can pick spools and serrateds but I’m still using a 20ct pick and a piece of copper.

  19. Great give away Bill, great explanations also.
Keep up the great vid’s Bill

  20. I’ve been looking into lock picking, I just haven’t been able to find a nice set for fairy cheap, I don’t want to pay $50 for a lock pick set to find out it’s not what I thought it was and just have them sit in my closet for the rest of my life.

  21. Hi I am looking into getting into picking and would love to win a kit like this 🙂

  22. Just the kit I would love to have to start picking but im in the UK. i keep looking for good kits to buy but then the wife spends my money before I can lol but at least I get to watch your videos which I actually find rather relaxing

  23. Looks like a very impressive starter kit. Would keep my idle hands very busy 🙂

  24. I started picking picking about 1 month ago. I was watching your videos for fun but I wanted to try it my self . I have some cheap China picks. Would be nice to win something.

  25. I bought the Mpxs-08 as my first set when they used to be pretty much the only pick company you could find about 17 years ago lol. It sits in my car now.

  26. Awesome giveaway, I just ordered a reload kit, despite needing picks and a lock. For $20 its worth grabbing while you can.

  27. I never enter your give aways because I don't pick heh. I just love watching you destroy locks is all, so keep it up.
