My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Bill, I am still trying to find out how they jam so many pins in one chamber. Is there a easy way.

  2. Given the way it works using the buttons in a detent ring, you probably could change the combination if you don't mind having things go springensproingen on you. Now you've done this, anyone with this lock will weld up the screw 😛

  3. I noticed that the reason they seem to lock up when tension is applied was because of the fact they had notches cut into the bottom of them that would cause it to lock up, would partially depressing the buttons before tension is applied possibly be a work around or is the mech designed to avoid that?
