My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I agree, you are a master at picking locks. I have a large collection of locks that I find some easy and some hard, but all great training.

  2. You make it look so easy but it’s not all that easy when you are just getting started.
I’m finding that small padlocks don’t have enough room for tension wrench and pick both and would need some much smaller tools.
    Thanks for another lesson, Bill.

    1. windshield wiper inserts make great tension wrenches, some are quite small…on the really small locks, fabricate a rake from a paper clip with a pair of pliers…., a mini bogata, or sparrows worm….even a paper clip short hook, when you fabricate your own tools, your choices are endless……..Fred

  3. I've seen picks made that look like they are a metal credit card, punch out that bill reviewed. Would a plastic credit card or sim card pick hold up very well?

    1. Even though my lock has radical bitting, i’ll give bottom of the keyway another shot……..I’m going nowhere…..perhaps I’ll get there a bit faster………….LOL
