My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I like the zippered case outta the entire kit. Also, Bill can you do a car lock picking video ? I would like to start a car collection, chop shop, ha ha ha . . ….lol

  2. A shame it’s not a better quality set. I used my same set for over 20 years and somehow it has found a new place to live I guess. I’ve been watching all of your pick set reviews for ideas on a good replacement set. This set you reviewed here would be better than no set of course. If I have to build another set it looks like it’s going to be a lot more expensive than when I acquired my old set from an old locksmith friend of mine who’s long since retired. Thanks for the reviews and I’ll keep on watching.

  3. im sorry but this is a waste of time, If your interested in picking do some research and stop hassling BB for reviews on products that are obviously total crap. He could have spent 5 min doing something useful, shame on you idiots, you live once get on with it.

  4. would like the set to start building my own picks would be a blast hop i get the “pick” of the comments!

  5. I have this picket set, I would like the additional blank picks to make some on my own and the tension wrenches

  6. I already have this kit…although it was a gift. Everything is the exact same on mine, but the case has a GOSO logo on it was well as all the pick handles…I need to upgrade lol

  7. I’ve been picking and pecking at mostly padlocks for some months now with this very kit, actually, a slight upgrade from one of those flimsy “credit card” pick sets you can get for like a dollar. The main tensioners are a little bulky, that little secondary tensioner is great though. Of course, I only wind up using the same 3 picks, and haven’t made my way up to car door locks, but I’ve been kicking around the idea.

So far this cheap-o kit has held up to my over-the-top levels of abuse, and for less than 20 dollery-doo’s, for a beginner who doesn’t know any better, I’d call it a good place to start.

All in all, it’s not a bad setup, but again… (I don’t know any better. YET.).

  8. Wow, a reeeeeally specialized kit. Finally, a cheap, oh-so-shiny! pick set for those who aren’t really interested in lock picking. Keep it on the shelf alongside those never to be read books.
Now, those Sparrows TOKs and that Mad Bob hardware, on the other hand…

  9. I’d say throw away the picks and keep the case because thats the most useful tool in the kit, but event thats not worth the shipping.

  10. Set does lpook interesting . Could use them as patterns for good steel? Pleas pick me for the kit.

  11. so im lookin to buy my first set pf picks ever. if i win i wont have to buy it so yh. good luck to me.

  12. Bought the same kit last year, my first set. Not too impresive….I would be VERY happy to win the tools you’re throwing in though. Keep up the good work, we appreciate the time and trouble you go through!

  13. Hi Bill. My wife bought me this exact kit for Christmas. She was sick of seeing me watch all your videos so she wanted to do something nice. I still like the kit. My 15 year old daughter has picked a few locks that I have. My 9 year old son felt left out so took all but 1 set of pins out of a lock for him to pick and he loved it. So feel free to throw the bangood kit away as i have it already and send me the good stuff

  14. "newer kits" .. got this about one year ago. it came with a plastic training lock and gave me lots of experience. now I'm totally hooked to MultiPick (since I'm based in 🇩🇪, I can skip huge shipping costs 😋 )

  15. If your a beginner and this is all you can afford, there fine. By the time you get any good with this set, you'll be able to make your own picks by then. Great review bill.

  16. Hey, It's Banggood. You would side order these just to make your quadcopter motor postage worthwhile. Give you something to do between batteries.
