My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com



  1. They don't put active sidebars in lower security cylinders for cost savings, but the keys must still function (think master key system) in those that do have it.
    Interesting to see how fast you got it open, we have that exact system in my apartment complex here in Sweden.

  2. Could it be that this cylinder is from a multi-plex masterkey system ? This one probably needs to be opened by several keys with a different profile. That would explain the passive sidebar.

  3. Yea, ASSA has some really wicked security pins. Triovings have some nightmare pins as well. I will pick a really nasty one out for you when I get them in a couple weeks 😉
