My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. it doesn't actually look like you've opened that lock. it looks to me like that hole in the key is what actually rotates the bolt mechanism. you picked the core, but did not actually open the lock

  2. David, I appreciate the offer but I already have a pile of unpicked locks that laugh at me every day, destroying what little confidence and sense of self-worth that I have. There are MANY locks that I cannot open, the list is almost endless…but I'm still trying. Hey, sorry about flaunting my personal F15 the other day but it isn't a NEW one – it's almost a year old.

  3. Awesome-at last I'm getting with the young speak- In gratitude for all the entertainment you have provided I would like to go to my local locksmith and purchase what in their opinion is an "unpickable" lock-if I did so would you send me a mailing address and would you be up for it? Needless to say I will pay the P+P or mailing as you say across the pond.

  4. The carbon steel one is less than $3 and the Government Steel one is a bit over $8. PM your address and I'll send you a couple along with a few locks to add to your HUGE collection.
