My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Yep, FAB is traditional Czech brand – founded in Rychnov nad Kneznou, Czech Republic in 1911. Unfortunately, now it became part of Assa Abloy.

  2. Wow, I have not seen a FAB padlock in absolute years!! I have a FAB padlock and when I bought it, it had a little sticky label on it which said 'made in Czechoslovakia' on it.

    Assa-Abloy, REALLY?!

I think the keyway on mine is different to this. I still have the lock and the original keys for it.

I bought it in a little hardware store in the late 1980s and I have never used it on anything. I bought it mainly for novelty value and I like the thick chunkiness of the key! 😀

I never knew that they done euro-profile locks though. Interesting!

    Thanx for showing,

  3. It's probably F.A.B. and not Fab.  They are a Czech-based company, and like everyone else in the ASSA ABLOY group they probably have integrated some kind of slider into their locks (they seem to have this love affair with sliders).

  4. Hiya Bill love all you video's I have been in to lock picking even did a course from the USA folly  don't know if you know it. I have a question why do we always pick the lock from the back ? I mean some time we start at the back but end up at the front and go back to the back of the lock as we are picking it lol.
