  1. great work at picking Bill. I do believe that #1 driver is really a bottom pin with serration. You are correct it wouldn't do anything the way it was in the lock but maybe if it was turned over with the serration on the bottom.
I should have a box of locks for you this week. Have a bunch of Schlage you can send out and there will be a few with security pins and a challenge lock also.

  2. Hi bosnianbill. In case you were wondering, I believe your lock is a Kaba Peaks. Got one just like it. That first pin is the "peaks" pin. Very fun locks. Happy picking sir.

  3. How much are the shipping cost overseas in general? are we talking 5 USD or 50 USD? I really have no idea…only a suspicion that is must be costly..

  4. Good job on picking that sucker ! You know some times i find that locks that have no security pins can be actually harder to pick than ones with security pins , cause you get so much less feedback !

  5. Do you think as the lock breaks in from general wear that it's picking resistance would drop off due to increased slop from pin wear, since they depend so much on the precision in the lock to provide tightness of the core in the rotating assembly? I guess I assume they have done lifespan testing on this lock to see how it functions when worn out, I'm just curious. Best also relies on precision in manufacture and standard pins, and they seem to be very widespread in commercial installs.
