My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. What happens when you over set one of those carved key pins? Won't it feel like a false set? If so, how would you tell the difference and how would you fix it? Why aren't these pins as common as security driver pins?

  2. Nice picking Bill. I have noticed you use top of keyway tension a lot. Defiant locks are pretty crappy and pick easy until you put some pick resistant pins in them. Flywheel should have threaded all the chambers both upper and lower for those custom pins though.

  3. Do you have a Schlage/Weiser cap removal tool? So much easier than using a pick or screwdriver.
Nice job on the lock, Flywheel!

  4. Great job!  I knew you would open it.  The question was, "how long?"  My goal was 5 minutes of BosnianBill pick resistance, but the master proved up to the challenge.  Don't worry, I have some ideas…

  5. Nice pick Bill. I'm surprised more pins didn't fall and need repicking by how much you needed to release on that core. Excellent craftsmanship and engineering Flywheel!
