  1. Hi there,
I am a long time subscriber and lock sport enthusiast. I have a challenge lock i would like to send you. It is a 5 pin kwickset I have pretty much rebuilt. There original pinning was junk so even with 4 factory spools it was a breeze to pick. I'm not going to spoil the surprise but suffice to say I am having great difficulty and I built the thing. I'd like to see how you fare. Let me know if you're interested.

  2. Hey Bill,
I have a set of Southord Euro Slimline picks. Since european keyways tend to be a little smaller. But I'm having some trouble opening certain padlocks.
Yale padlocks (up to a certain security level) I can open with it usually, it does take me a while.
But some cheap locks seem to baffle me. Looking at your videos it sometimes lookes like you apply a lot of force on the pins. Is that true? because that might be why i'm having trouble, the picks I use can bend easily, so I try to be very careful. Also, I Only have tension tools that can be inserted bottom of the keyway, or else they slip too much

    Your thoughts?

  3. Do you ever use anything other than a Peterson Gem? I feel like the only variation you use in your picks is in the thickness of the pick. Otherwise, it's always that hook. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, if anything it demonstrates that you don't need to get the 30+ pick set to pick 90% of locks out there.

  4. I have many different kinds of picks from alot of different company's but i think the best for me is sparrows picks but i do break alot more sparrows then i do Peterson haha but i would be nothing with out my Peterson pry bars the sparrows pry bars to thin if u ask me.

  5. Great video Texas Jim has nearly single-handedly made me a much better picker between him and flywheel Im 10 times better than I would have been if I've never gotten the locks from them

  6. Hey bill do you ever do any bumping? or have experience in bumping locks? just curious if you do. if so we love to see some of that skill set.

  7. Absolutely AWESOME picking job!  Just watching I feel a migraine coming on.Texas Jim is a killer on picking challenge locks as well as creating them.  If you get tired of that one, throw it my way.
