  1. The way I Pick, that 0.015″ revtat Pick would be a twisted hideous semblance of its former self after attempting a Pick on a lock like this. I need to develop way more finesse ☺

    1. I bought a lockset at a thrift store for $3.99. The bitting is insane. High low, middle, low, then super high behind that low pin, and way in the back. I can SPP it clockwise, but counterclockwise it is nearly impossible. I get this deep false set with the spools in it, and everything jams up. Sometimes I think I have that hopeless false set, and when I go to drop some pins to start again, I realize I have an open. I used 120 grit on some of the picks with really rough shafts, but usually I start with 220 grit, then 400, then 800 grit, then I go to an Arkansas sharpening stone, slathered with buffing compound for polishing car paint, then an India stone for honing straight razors. The finer the polish on the picks the better the feedback. The keyway on that lock barely allows a .022″ pick, and only a couple of shapes, so I use a .015″. It took me a while to develop some patience and technique of kind of rocking, or torsioning the picks to work the pins up & finding the shearline. It’s a hobby with some locks that are so hard to pick, mastering it is impossible, kind of like golf, but I don’t like golf.

  2. Hey Bill! Great lock. Do you think that pin 6 was supposed to be like a red herring? You kept saying the back end was bound solid, maybe trying to draw your attention. As always, good show Sir. Thanks Bill!

  3. Bloopers! Who else wants to see them? Bill needs to pick a standard 5 second intro with low volume and give us bloopers at the end. The new intros every video are really starting to wear me down and push me away, but I can’t not watch because I know he is going tell he is going to pull is wire out and yell a profanity….
