My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Hey Bill. I have the tools for this and I just went out and bought a cutting board, (Premium Poly cutting Board) . I used my dremel with the bits you suggested. It kept melting the poly and gunking up around it so what material is the one you got from BBand B?

  2. When I Googled "lock pinning tray" after thinking I needed one like BB's, Not only did it take me full-circle back here- I found the 3D printable version you so kindly put out there – it inspires me to want to get one of those things (3D printer)… Thank you for the knowledge!

  3. If you take a 2×4 piece of scrap and rip it on the table saw in half to create two even pieces, then cut a 45 off each one to create a triangle. Then join them together at each end with a wooden dowel and now you have a rail jig for your Dremel to allow you to cut perfect straight lines every time…set the depth by temporarily attaching a cleat to each end for use.

  4. I cut the first one on the milling machine. Faster & easier but not everyone has a milling machine sitting around the lab. Everyone seems to have either a router or a dremel tool.

  5. Absolutely a mill would work. It would me a LOT easier and take only about 10 minutes. But most people don't have access to a mill and I wanted to show how to do it with common hand tools. It seems everyone has either a dremel tool or a router, so that seemed the logical choice. The EASIEST way is to simply print one on a 3D printer – and that vid is coming as soon as I get the tray digitized… I'll PRINT a tray.

  6. Awesome Bill!Your homebrew tools and equipment are the best I've ever seen and are comparable to or exceed the quality of a lot of the commercially available stuff!
