My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I have a copy of one of these and I found the best way to get the tension wrench out is to push it I'm where the cut out is and push it forward

  2. Just a heads up, i got the H&H version and its exactly the same in all ways except u get an deforest hook instead of an harpoon… cant remember what i paid for it but i think it was about the same or slightly cheaper.

  3. How would you recommend bevelling this down? I have never sanded down a pick before – do I just use a metal sandpaper? Anyway, I agree – I have so much trouble with the large hook.

  4. Bill, what are you feelings on fingerprint concealment? @ 1:59 it is a serious question. Is this a disclosure that you are happy to have because of other mitigation's? It is not important by itself but though it would be a good subject/talking point. Love your vids. Have started the hobby, bloody harder than it looks :)
