My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I've picked a couple of beastly Medeco's on my channel (HI-SHEAR & S&G 831)… but to be very honest I've a LONG way to go before considering myself proficient with Medeco. The "training plan" you mentioned must have been a conversation you had with someone else. If you ask me, I'd tell you to visit Samus Aran (xeotech1). I've dubbed him the 'Caped Medeco Master'. PHENOMINAL picker… and one of my absolute heroes since the beginning. All-star picker… amazing to watch 😮

  2. I'm the one learning from YOU! I'm still stalling on the Medeco "training plan" you described, but will probably suck it up and begin next week. Its time…

  3. It always amazes me the generosity displayed from people in this hobby. Be it with their time, money, locks, or tools. Great pickin' as always Bill. Hope to be catchin' up on your vids finally. I KNOW there's lot to be learned from ya 🙂

  4. I made them. The timing of your question couldn't have been more perfect. I'm finalizing some videos on pick making (haven't we all…) and will upload tonight and tomorrow. One of tomorrow's projects will be to show how to make dimple picks using hand tools. Easy.

  5. funny how that happens sometimes. Ive only picked one dimple lock it came to me in a ebay lock lot it was an Abus EC75. it was pretty fun I pulled it off with a short hook

  6. LUCKY picking… sometimes they surprise you! I knew three of the pins were set, but thought I had three to go – then she popped open. Looking at the bitting later it was probably because the pins were so close in depth cuts, I must have accidentally brushed against the low hanging pins & set them on my way to the back of the keyway. Oh well – no "style points", but its open.

  7. No, but I own his 40mm baby brother. Once I get it picked on vid I'd be happy to send it to you! As it turns out, this one belongs to diceman – he had it shipped to me to carry over the pond to him.

  8. @diceman1367 Yes, now I remember. Sorry, a lot going on and I forgot. No worries, they will be in my safe. I may try to pick the Eagle but will need to make a special pick for it first.
