My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Now i have a lock like this but it is a pad lock and there is no key and i was wondering are they all just pinned on top and the sides or are they different for each one?

  2. I didn't gut it because I wasn't sure I'd ever be able to reassemble it. While picking tho, I got 3-4 false sets, but none of the characteristic counter-rotation you'd expect. I suspect it is all standard pins or very lightly engraved spools at worst.

  3. These are pretty unusual here in the U.S. so I have nothing to compare it to. I DO have several cruciform padlocks (S. American and Chinese). They have pinning on all 4 sides and are a BITCH to tension & pick.
