My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. No,it's not too esoteric at all. I think it would be really useful. Not too many people address this topic,so the hardest thing for a beginner is to find all the right and necessary tools.

  2. I was actually thinking about it but rejected the idea as too…esoteric. With your comment, and because I have a new 3D printer on the way, I'll revisit that idea. It would make an interesting video and be a good test for the printer. I'll also compare it to the more traditional way of making the tray with a dremel tool or router. Give me a little time to put it together.

  3. I'm about to get a tray too… Have you considered making a sort of DIY video on how to make one like yours? Or plug followers? I'm using a cut pieces of steel tube now :D. Very cost effective.

  4. Great job Bro! The steel pins are new to me…the model number should be on the back of the lock? I like kryptonite locks. The company stands behind their products, they actually did a recall on the u-locks that everyone and their dog could open with a pen, that must have cost a fortune…

  5. Lol I was pointing at the missing pin for you when you found it.
Nice looking lock with plenty of security pins but against you, you make it look way to easy.

  6. Forget about it. The tray cost $20 and it took me about 2 hours to adjust in the milling machine… This is a one-of-a-kind item. Even if someone stole it I would think twice about making another.

  7. That's a cool lock mate I would like to trade it for something because the Green Logo and the Keys….. awsome! I remember having a Kryptonite bikelock when I was a kid and I do not have it any longer so I now have no Kryptonite at all. I would think of something nice to trade to you bill (something challenging…)

    Cool video mate as always!
