(183) Locks from JeffMoss: American Mortise Cylinder Picked Open & Gutted

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. It does not look like they make those particular cylinders anymore, but they do show their EDGE system available in rim, mortise, and KIK.

  2. And contrats for picking the American out of the box. My track record on doing that is less than stellar 🙂

    I didn't know American made non-padlocks!

  3. In the interest of full disclosure: The only lock I put anything wacky into was the American mortise. The Schlage core is black because it's a construction core and is fully pinned. I've never gutted the York because I do not know how to.

  4. Man, I'm glad I chose that one & not the Schlage or York. I picked on those puppies for 20 minutes today with no opens… luck plays a big part in my picking (and life…). BTW: Thanks again for the BiLock video!
