My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I looked through your many videos for a video of the vintage Yale lock but did not find one.

I am not so bothered by opening it but was wondering how the cylinder can be removed and repined?  Particularly without losing all the springs!

  2. I have a big ass old brass yale lock like yours..it was ysed by a ammo room and had the cross cannons on the frount so it was a military lock..both keys were stamped ammo..but I lost them..

  3. No, that evil little lock is still sitting in the unpicked box, taunting me. Sooner or later I'll get to it. Right now I going through a Ruko phase.

  4. Not yet. Marc said it has a "secret". I'll give it another go tomorrow and if the secret doesn't reveal itself I'll autopsy it on the milling machine.

  5. glad you like them, that padlocks a lovely pick, like mike said crisp sets. i think light tension works well, but the padlock is fully working

  6. @skelmersdaleLocks Thanks, I had no clue. Is Laird a good lock? This one is loaded up with spools – at least 4 of them. Picked a couple times but not when the camera was on…as usual.

  7. Hey Bill,
The 6s pin on the BKS is not removed! There are two versions of this cylinder the 5 pinner and the 6 pinner but the 6 pin version is more expensive and comes with another keyway restriction as long as I know. I can order you one at my locksmiths place. I gotte make a package ready for you anyway because some stuff hasn't arrived yet.
