(251) Psychological Warfare & Your Lockpicking Buddies

LockLab is Fan funded!  Help pay for stuff to review, break and talk trash about, and maybe even give away when we’re done.  Join the Tribe!

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Hahaha Bill you are devilish dog I love the mischievous pinning acts! None of my friends know a tid bit about lock picking so unfortunately I don't have a guinea pig except myself. I have my significant other randomly repining the cylinder so I have no reference. That double spring technique will now keep me on my toes thanks BB!

  2. I am having an embarrassingly difficult time getting two display case wafer locks open and they haven't even been modified. Not a pleasant feeling.

  3. I would love to see some of your fellows or fans actually send these kind of enhanced locks to you as a challenge without telling you anything lol

  4. OMG ! YOU ARE TRULY EVIL !! DR EVIL ! LMAO ????????????
Soooo you can actually take a cheapo Kwikset lock and make it virtually unpickable ?? Awesome evilness Brother ! Thank you for all the fiendish and devious ideas !!

  5. I can open all of those in under 60 seconds with an aluminum cut off wheel or a stick of thermite.  High quality lock my ass.  There is no such thing.

  6. Why not also sharpen the bottom of one of the pins, so s/he has a harder time getting a pick on it and applying pressure?

  7. The question that immediately comes to mind is why don't the manufacturers adopt the same tactics?  Would it simply add too much cost to do?

  8. Wow that pig metal sure taps dirty… nice lock I did something like this to one of my master rings and Xeo followed suit with a nice one as well. Those modified cylinders can sure be a nightmare.
