(301) Vachette (French) Double Locking Bolt Picked Open

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I live in France.
Most locks are "double locks" like this one and most people (everyone I know, actually) do turn the key twice. Not much security since the vast majority of burglars must have spinners but I thought it was worth mentioning.Often, there are two "double locks" per front door.

I have a more interesting comment/question though: how do you pick the lock if there is a key on the other side (the key is turned 90°)?

  2. i love French locks. they can make some of the highest security stuff. I really like the fichet with the H keyway and the f3d i think its called with the 3d key very cool indeed
