(330) Baldwin Picked Open & Gutted (Challenge Lock)

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I've locked myself out of my office which has a Baldwin that appears to be like the one you show here. What is the significance of the false set and the spools?

  2. I am having an impossible time getting ANY feedback whatsoever from a master lock no. 3 vCould you email me at samgearhart25@gmail.com and give me some help please. I don't think I'm ever going to get any better at this because everytime I do open a lock it is only pure luck that I'm getting it. There is nothing being fedback to me letting me know" ok, that's what I need to be feeling for and I'll know more what do do next time." I can't even rake them open even though I have a few times but that was two days ago. Nothing since then and it pisses me off seeing people do it so easily on YouTube. Can I possibly take a class somewhere?

  3. I don't know what kind of door lock you have but both Medeco and MTL have drop-in replacements for almost everything. Yes, yes several years ago the Medeco bi-axial could be bumped IF you had the correct profile key. Many people copied each other and showed the same exploit over and over again. Today the locks have bump protection and are some of the most secure locks on the planet. Still, remember that the lock is the last line of defense, one of only many layers for a secure "system".

  4. Try Medeco or Mul-T-Lock. They are both around $100-150. Cheap when you consider that they are protecting everything in your house (you included).
