My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Long term planed obsolesce 9999 x opening once a day is over 27 years. And three pins is plenty for a canvas bag sitting next to an armed guard. Back then Reg. mail and rural postmen where armed because sending cash by mail was common.

  2. Uhm, no Bill. More like 30,094 opening & locking cycles. Notice the 3rd digit is not aligned. In car odometers, and other counters the digits do not realign when the count rolls back to zero. On old GM cars the first digit will mis-align at 100,000 miles, then the second at 200,000, 3rd at 300,000, etc.

  3. That a odd metered lock since American Coin Op Luggage locker seen at Airport where it has metered locks.

  4. Really well made lock for its age. Very clever craftsmen to design these locks . Very nice locks
