My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I have been watching these videos for about a day and really enjoy your work. makes me wish i would have actually gone into lock-picking / smiting  Back in high school I would just for shits pick locks as a hobby with a paper clip and a metal pen clip. ( nothing illegal just to pass time when i was bored)

  2. Bill, on those cylinders with a cross tail piece and deep retaining ring/C clip, I use a shim with the follower so the pins won't get caught in the slot.

  3. Bill , just a little hint:
When taking apart a cylinder you're not used to , slide in a shim under the plug and plug follower. That will prevent pins from shooting into grooves and notches you didn't know were there.

  4. What kind of lock you can't open it??? Believe that time can prove everything, Congratulations, so the evil pin, you can open. Great
