(244) Sargent 6-Pin Picked Open & Gutted

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Yeah… I screwed up… Looks like I'm going to have to custom make a follower on the lathe to put this thing back together. Crap. On the upside: I got it picked…;) Jeff Moss has a follower for this lock and is going to send me a picture so I can make one. Another project – just what I needed.

  2. It began life as a cutting board. I put it in the milling machine and cut those grooves and the compartment for the lock body. Works great and keeps everything neatly organized. I'm thinking about inputting the drawing into my 3D printer and pumping out a few extras in a variety of colors.

  3. Another great pick. Noticed your pinning tray a few times, is it a proper pinning tray or is it normally used for other purposes mate?
