My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Bill i got to ask you something. When speaking of any type of lock you mention threads as a countermeasure, and while it might do some work, wouldn't it make more sense (if even possible and the tool exist) to make serrations in the chambers?

The way I'm thinking, any type of sharp edge would have a lot bigger chance to grab on to those rather than a thread, though it might cause the pin to jam? Your thoughts?

  2. Am I the only one that's not really interested in learning how to lockpick (although admittedly I do have an interest in how locks work) but just enjoys Bill's passion for it?

  3. I came across your videos by accident about 2 months ago and I've been absorbing all of them. Being a fan of self sufficiency and practical skills, locks seem like something I can really get into (pun may or may not be intended). Do you have any tips for somebody who's interested in becoming a locksmith or a hobbyist?

  4. Ok. I have done gave up on winning a pick set. So what is the best one to buy for the money??? Don't have a lot to spend so please keep that in mind. It's for hobby and fun only.
I don't want to spend hours going back and re-watching all the beginner sets video reviews. What is your advice on the best bang for the buck? Anyone.
