My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Hey Bill, I wanted to mention that my American 700 6 pin can be raked open, and my Abus 83/45 can be bumped.  I don't know what's in the american yet, trying to wait to gut it for an spp video.  The Abus on the other hand has a lightly serrated pin in chamber one and the rest are spools.

  2. Bill,

Awesome job . . . . . . Again. Can you put me on the list for your "go bucket" locks, im a beginner "newbie" to the hobby, sooo I would need easier locks to practice on at this stage.

  3. I figured out what's missing… Just toss in some of that Chinese casting sand, and it will become instantly much more pick resistant!

  4. The easy raking makes sense to me.  Narrowing the upper edge of the key pin should inhibit overstetting.

ETA: Imagine if the top of the key pin was a cone.  The pins you have are a less extreme version of that.

  5. WOW…..I'm speechless…..Bravo Bill……psst what's the "real deal"…..gotta be alien technology…..eh?

This one's going in my favorites……

    Peace n Tanks
