(1031) Yale LFIC (Thanks Danbai123!)

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. So, Yale LFIC have only ONE shear line. And the control lug on the back is actuated by a 7 pin key, with the same bitting as operating, similar to Schlage LFIC. For those curious, picking to control would be picking a core to the shear line that allows core removal. The reason why the core would not come out is because it is a self contained unit, with a C-clip on the back.

  2. Great pickin’ Bill.
Would love to see you show us how to pick to the control key setting, if possible. Also, are control keys much different in cut compared to the regular unlock key ?

  3. This surely beats the Best or Arrow or Falcon Interchange Core locks. Yale seems to be different kind of lock from my point of view. Keep it up with your good work!

  4. Aren't the Yale LFIC cores retained the same way as the Schlage LFIC cores (an extra pin in the back that actuates the control lug) and not based on two separate shear lines like SFIC cores?
