(1148) Master Lock’s Shortcut

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Nice pickin’, Bill. You think MasterLock would spend .10 cents more on each of their locks and put a few security pins inside. The outsides look pretty tough !!

  2. No damn wonder Master wants to sue your ass!
Anyone that ever sees a video like this would surely not ever buy a Master lock to protect anything and on top of that they would tell their friends, who would tell their friends, and on and on!
    Good job.

  3. Completely not related to video, just wanted to share my today's experience and thank Bill. At work door lock was somehow broken, actuator on eurocilinder from the doors was stuck at weird position, but watching your videos for almost like year I know how to disassemble it and rotate it the right way. Yay, and the lock works again. Btw I'm electrician, not a locksmith. So thanks Bill, and keep up with the videos.

  4. "On this side it's impossible to get a shim in"
    Not quite, but close…
It would be very difficult to get a commercial shim in, but with some bends and an amount of effort OR (more likely) a custom(home-made) shim, you could (in theory) shim this lock open.
