(1163) Review: Brockhage 30-Key Pro Bump Set

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Didnt think there was so many bump keys. That was a great video an letting people know more about them. Another great video.thanks

  2. where is the sport, when you use bump keys? It’s like someone with a compound bow with laser sights, calling themselves an archer………

  3. Not a lot of sport or art in bumping locks…
It IS fun, and do make you look like some kind of genius to the uninitiated

  4. Not sure, but the “nickel” set probably means the key material is nickel silver (a.k.a. electrum), not nickel-plated brass. It is more durable. E.g. Best keys and key pins are made of nickel silver for durability in commercial environments. Would make sense for bump keys too.

  5. With my luck a few days after putting the castration ring on the key the front half of the key would fall off. I agree with one of the other posters. Bump keys are scary. So are top poppers.

  6. Bump keys should be stripped from shop shelves now! All it takes is one madman to use these to convert their semi automatic keys into machine keys, causing nothing but misery and pain to poor innocent locks just trying to enjoy a night listening to the doors. End the pain now before the next tragedy happens.
