My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. I FINALLY received mine after almost 8 (yes: eight!) weeks of waiting! This is probably the slowest internet order ever.

That said, the quality is really nice, well done, nice polished finish, and actually worth the waiting.

    1. Damn kids 😉 We use to wait 6-8 weeks for EVERYTHING back in the day. Now get off my lawn and go pick a lock.

  2. It looks a bit more structurally sound as compared to the SouthOrd variant. One question I still have is if the pick in use is held by friction or is there a piece that is set in place when the knob in turned.

    1. The picks are just helt in place by friction, but does stop at 180º/straight. There is no pin or lock, and they will fold back, even if tensioned pretty hard. Picking/raking with the back side of the pick is not really an option.

  3. Very nice looking pick set, been watching your videos for awhile now. Your teaching me so much I appreciate it

  4. Hey Bill, yet another great video. Love watching your work it has helped me no end. You have inspired me. Keep up the good work.

  5. the price might be higher but on my el cheapo it took 3 hours of sanding and polishing to get it right I DIDN'T want to wait two months it looks great

  6. Just received my southord pxs-14 today, that I bought on Amazon! Wow how satisfying it was to pick my first lock. Glad I randomly found your channel @bosnianbill. This is a fun and challenging hobby! Keep up the good work!

  7. I you had have set up a Master lock instead of a Brinks lock for this video, it would likely have picked itself open when you tried to dislodge the tension wrench by banging the bench!

  8. I would like to add that the word "Drone" is not correct. That is a poor word that the media picked up and caused the public to use all the time. They are actually called quads, multicopers, multirotors, but NOT "Drones". Thanks.

    1. Did you receive it? (I ordered mine at about the same time, and picked it up at the post office on November 19…!)
