My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Being that its fashioned like a MasterLock with the multiple steel plates, wonder how it would hold up to various firearms rounds, ie., .40 Cal round, .223 Assault Rifle Round, 12 Ga. slug ??

  2. I think some threading of two or more cylinders would have made that an even tougher lock. I really liked the variety of pins.

  3. hi, I'm bill and I open locks just as fast as you using a key.

we would have serious security issues if everyone was as good as bill.

  4. If you have a carbide bit to drill the lock could you drill the base plate retainer nut or does the crown of it keep you from getting it started ?

  5. You can keep a spinner plate like that in place by sticking a tension wrench or something wide in the bottom of the keyway. The spinner would effectively be locked in place.
