(134) Hermex CH-50 Padlock SPP’d, Raked, Shimmed and Bypassed…whew!

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Hey Bill, what do you mean when you say "shielded"? What's happening inside the lock that you're able to pull the rake open? Thanks!

  2. The bow is shaped like a KW1 but they don't appear interchangeable. Wouldn't THAT be funny though – a cheap POS lock copying something from Kwikset – widely known to produce the crappiest, poorest tolerance, easiest to rake locks in the universe?

  3. Nice great blind pick, I just did one out of the box and had no idea how'd it go as its the last 10% you learn the lock.
Nice to see an out of box pick and then some, that lock is full of cheapness.
