LockLab is Fan funded!  Help pay for stuff to review, break and talk trash about, and maybe even give away when we’re done.  Join the Tribe!

My vises are made by Panavise, a U.S. Company.  The one with the wide jaws is the model 350.  The smaller one is the model 301. Both have the 312 Base mount – www.panavise.com

  1. Bill that bearing used to be a normal occurrence in both Corbin & Russwin cylinders. It really doesn’t add to the pick resistance. It is there for anti-friction, to make the keys and pins last a bit longer. These were standard stock in an original OEM pinning kit, I don’t know if they are now or not. Anyway, good effort. Keep up the entertaining videos!

  2. I’m trying to learn more about lock picking would be interested in some of your free stuff I’ve watched just about everyone of your videos

  3. I have learned almost everything I can do from your videos (and practicing, of course). So I'm definitely not criticizing you or your videos, they are a fantastic source of info. But you have made many, many videos and have surely made decent money from your successful channel. Do you think that at this stage of the maturity of your channel, you could get a camera that will focus on close-up shots? "Come on baby, focus for me." is a part of almost every video. Aren't you getting tired of that? If not, then that's fine. I'm very grateful for your tutelage.

  4. Thanks again.
BTW, I won the 'Tuxedo' set, a while back. I'm a complete noob. I was able to open 2 suitcase padlocks and (Moses!) the Schlage lock of my own back door! Nope, didn't use shims for the padlocks. For the Schlage, I just used a little tension then used the worm and raked it (but not really vigorously.) If I felt that I had overtensioned I just rotated back to square one and started over. Remember, my objective, starting this new hobby, was/is not to open something in record time, but to crawl before I walk.
